IT support for businesses in Costa Rica, without the hassle
In a small business, a computer that won’t turn on, email that stopped syncing or a printer nobody can connect can bring a whole team to a halt. Many companies don’t have an IT department, and the person who “knows about computers” ends up losing hours on something that isn’t their job.
Our IT support service exists for that moment. It is per-incident support: you contact us with a specific need, we take care of it and explain what happened. You don’t need to sign a monthly contract to get help.
Remote IT support nationwide and on-site in the GAM
Most software, email, Microsoft 365 or configuration problems can be solved with remote IT support: with your authorization, we connect to the computer and work while you watch. This avoids travel and makes it possible to support branches anywhere in Costa Rica, for example in Guanacaste.
When the problem is physical —damaged equipment, cabling, a router that needs replacing or a printer that has to be installed— we schedule on-site support in San José and the rest of the Greater Metropolitan Area (GAM). If the visit is outside the GAM, we plan it in advance.
We work with the equipment and platforms small businesses use every day: Dell, HP and Lenovo computers, Ubiquiti/UniFi and MikroTik networks, APC power backup and Microsoft 365, among others.
More than putting out the fire
A good business IT technician doesn’t just remove the symptom, they also look for the cause. If we clean up a virus, we check how it got in. If a user’s email account was compromised, we recommend the settings that reduce the risk, like the ones we describe in our article on Microsoft 365 security. And if we notice your information doesn’t have a reliable backup, we tell you clearly; the 3-2-1 backup rule is a good starting point.
To request support, message us on WhatsApp or call us at +506 4000-0880, or use the contact form. You can also open your request in the Soporte Digital portal, whether or not you have a contract with us, so it is logged and tracked.
When it makes sense to move to a managed plan
Per-incident support works well when problems are occasional. But if you call us every week, if a network or email outage costs you sales, or if nobody regularly checks updates, security and backups, you are probably paying to react instead of prevent.
In that case, we honestly recommend that you consider our managed services: an IT management contract with monitoring, preventive maintenance and priority service, with extended hours and a guaranteed 2-hour response available on some plans. SYSCOM started in 2001 doing exactly this kind of one-off support and evolved into that model because, for many companies, preventing problems is more orderly than repairing them.
